Hallanvahti Solar Park
71,000 piles across 200+ ha of peat. 7 piling units running simultaneously at peak. Finland's second-largest solar park.
Read case study →We take the whole foundation — site-specific design, manufactured piles, skilled installation — or only the parts you need, on your schedule, under one accountable contract.
Spring 2026 surfaced foundation failures across Nordic solar parks. EPCs that signed off last autumn are now retrofitting at margin cost — pads sunk, posts heaved, racks tilted. Helicasol anchors the helix plate below the frost line in stable ground, sized to actual soil, with EN 1090 Exc2 manufacturing and GPS-verified install. What you hand over in autumn still passes inspection after the spring thaw.
Foundation = 10–15 % of CAPEX, but carries a disproportionate share of schedule and execution risk. Three patterns we see repeatedly.
Will it actually work here? Standard driven-post designs fail on challenging sites — soft clay, peat, perched water, frost-affected fill. The result is overdesign (margin erosion) or underdesign (rework on site).
Will the piles arrive on time? Foundation typically sits on the critical path. Slow manufacturers or installers drag the whole project. Schedule slip compounds — racking waits, electrical waits, commissioning waits.
Who's accountable when something breaks? Three subcontractors create three coordination points and a blame allocation problem. Liability still sticks to your EPC contract. One call, one supplier is a better way.
A free preliminary review at the bid stage. You'll get an indicative cost range you can carry straight into your tender, with no contract commitment.
Optional verification on your actual ground before you commit to a fixed price. We test compression, tension and lateral capacity, and rebate 50 % of the fees once the project proceeds.
We match pile geometry, length, helix and spacing zone-by-zone to the soil that's actually there, and document everything to Eurocode 7, EN 61773 and ICC-ES AC358.
Our own EN 1090 Exc2 line in Finland runs at 3,500+ piles per week. Every pile is heat-number traceable, made from Nordic and European steel on a low-carbon process.
Install with our own crews and equipment, or let us train yours on the same system. Every pile is 100 % torque-recorded and captured in the as-built.
Helical piles, C-profile posts or rock drilling — picked for the soil under each section, not forced across the whole compound.
Send your tender pack with site layout and soil data. Engineers review and respond with preliminary sizing and an indicative cost range you can carry into your bid.
Once awarded, optional reference piling on your actual ground. The data tightens the design — and locks the price against measured capacity. 50 % of fees rebated when the project proceeds.
Per-pile schedule, custom pile-to-frame brackets matched to your racking system, full as-built deliverables list. Coordinated with your structural and electrical teams.
EN 1090 Exc2 production at 3,500+ piles/week. Runs in parallel with installation — when the ground reveals a pocket needing a longer sleeve, the factory turns it round without stopping the crew.
Our GPS-guided crews on your site — or your crews trained and equipped for it. Torque-verified per pile, as-built coordinates and capacity logged for every foundation point.
Helical for the bulk of site, manufactured in-house. For zones demanding alternatives we also install C-profile or rock-drilling solutions. One supplier across foundation — no interface gaps, no sub-to-sub handoffs.
In-house EN 1090 Exc2 manufacturing. Low-carbon Nordic steel, full traceability from mill certificate to install.
Hallanvahti ran with up to seven rigs simultaneously and ~30 installers on two shifts.
Helical, rammed C-profile and rock-drilling — recommended per zone. We have no commercial reason to push one over another.
Position (GPS) and capacity (torque) recorded on every pile. Lands in your delivery report as evidence, not promise.

Tracker foundations in Nordic winter. Test piling through GPS-guided install — every alignment within tolerance, every pile torque-verified.
Read case study →Four questions we hear from EPC contractors at bid and contract stage. If your situation is on the edge of these, ask — we'll tell you straight whether full scope, partial scope, or a test-only programme fits your project.
No. The bracket interface is whatever your racking dictates — post profile, fixing pattern, load schedule. We build to that. If a co-designed bracket would meaningfully cut cost or schedule on a specific site, we'll flag it; otherwise we stay inside the spec you already have.
Yes. We routinely run test-only scopes for EPCs with their own install capability. You get the test data, the engineering report and a sizing recommendation that any qualified pile contractor can build to. Manufacturing and install can stay with you or come back to us — same engineering basis either way.
From contract signature: test piling, re-engineering, then manufacturing in parallel with install. Full mobilisation can put up to seven rigs on a single site at once. Programme alignment with your construction schedule is written into the contract — not a verbal handshake at kickoff.
If we delivered the test, design, manufacture and install, you have one number to call when a pile, a bracket or a sizing decision is in question. We don't pass the parcel between subs and we don't argue scope boundaries on site.
Specifics — liability caps, defects period, schedule-penalty structure, retention — sit in the contract. We'll show you the version we typically write on the first call so you can compare it against what you're used to seeing.
Site layout, soil data and your scope split. Preliminary sizing and indicative cost range come back — fully confidential. NDA available on request.
