Founded in December 2022 as a subsidiary of Paalupiste, Europe's most experienced helical-pile manufacturer. The team, the equipment and the process are all set up for one job: solar-farm foundations at utility scale.

Own crew, own design bench, own EN 1090 line through the parent company.

Milestones.

2001

Paalupiste founded

Helical-pile manufacturing begins in Porvoo, Finland. The expertise Helicasol would later build on starts here.

2008

Solar sector entry

First solar-farm foundation projects. Paalupiste begins developing specialised solutions for the energy sector.

2022

Helicasol founded

Dedicated solar-farm foundation company launched as a Paalupiste subsidiary. UK partner office (UKHelix) established in Bolney.

2023

Cleve Hill Solar Farm

Europe's largest solar project at the time. Over 1,000 helical piles installed for the electrical compound in challenging clay conditions.

2025

Cleve Hill BESS

Pile delivery starts for one of the UK's largest co-located battery-energy-storage systems. 1,200+ piles for 250 battery containers (150 MW / 300 MWh).

2025

Hallanvahti Solar Park

71,000 piles installed in extreme peat conditions for Finland's second-largest solar park (129 MW).

How we work.

Honest assessment

If helical piles aren't the best solution for your site, we tell you. If another supplier or method fits the site better, we say so.

Certified manufacturing

European steel, EN 1090 Exc2 production line. Every pile traceable back to its heat number, every weld to a certified welder. Built to clear bank and investor due diligence.

Verified installation

Every pile GPS-positioned and driven to its design torque — a direct reading of bearing capacity, recorded per pile. The as-built record is the work as it happened.

Geotechnical engineer. Reads the soil report, runs the test-pile programme, and turns raw soil data into pile sizes that match the actual ground.

Background in electrical networks, infrastructure and foundations. Leads the helical-pile install crews on site, hands-on across every recent project.

Project manager. Twenty years in construction across site supervision, bid calculations, procurement and contract management. Inspecta-certified for demanding builds, now running Helicasol's foundation contracts from kickoff to handover.
